CoEnzyme Q-10: plays a crucial role in effectiveness of the immune system & in the aging process

Coenzyme Q-10 is a vitamin-like substance that resembles vitamin E; however, it is a much more powerful antioxidant. This product is often referred to as ubiquinol.

Of the ten common enzymes, Q-10 is the only one found inside the human body. Q-10 levels decline with age and it is thus important to supplement our diets as it plays a crucial role both in the effectiveness of the immune system and in the aging process.

A report provided by the new England Institute, indicated that Q-10 alone is effective in decreasing mortality levels in experimental animals afflicted with tumors and leukemia. The use of Q-10 has been associated with the treatment of cancer and also as a preventive remedy for tumors on those who have the genetic inclination for tumors. Tests have also been conducted to determine the efficacy of Q-10 in reducing side effects caused by chemotherapy and other medicinal drugs.

In Japan and other parts of the world, Q-10 is used in treating heart disease and high blood pressure, and is considered an enhancement to the immune system.

Research indicates that Q-10 is beneficial to those who suffer from asthma, allergies, and respiratory diseases. Q-10 has the ability to counter histamine therefore it is invaluable in the treatment of allergies and asthma. It is used to treat the brain for mental function anomalies such as those associated with schizophrenia and Alzheimer's disease.

It is also beneficial in the treatment of obesity, candidiasis, multiple sclerosis, periodontal disease and diabetes. It has been given credit for and slowing down the aging process and in many cases of aids treatment, Q-10 is of primary significance because of its benefits to the immune system. Q-10 and garlic are optimal supplements that should be taken on a daily basis. Foods naturally rich in Q-10 are salmon, mackerel and sardines.
